To open roster spots for Bryce Eldridge and Jesus Rodriguez, the Giants DFA'd Jerar Encarnacion and optioned Will Brennan back to Triple-A. They have just three true outfielders on the roster, but Rodriguez can play LF and Christian Koss has some OF experience too.

That's the first winless two-city trip for the Giants since 2022. They got outscored 26-9 in six games and got walked off three times. Hard to have a more painful week on the road.

I love that Pavs is not taking the company line and calling it like it is. The Giants are 17 games under .500 since Devers played his first game last June. They were 10 games over .500 at 41-31 when he played his first game. This is not working. They’re 53-70 with Devers.

I don’t know how much blame you can put on Buster Posey for getting Willy Adames and Rafael Devers. Two really good players who most fans were over the moon about when they got him. Those guys have failed their team. Can’t blame Buster for a guy falling off of a cliff.
