In 2016, while Ministries had 18,532 employees plus the undisclosed number of soldiers, Agencies had only 3,905, despite similar spending. Can we improve tax collection to boost Public Service? As we strive for a better Uganda, it's crucial to understand the disparities in Public Service funding. While the European countries collect up to 40% of their GDP in taxes, Uganda's URA has been struggling at just 11%. With better tax collection, we could significantly increase the resources available for public servants, including teachers and health workers who play vital roles in our communities.
