The irony here is that Josephus and Jubilees are actually a Greek narrative mapped onto a pre-existing tradition of Abraham confronting celestial worship The Quran restores the narrative to its original form and thoroughly de-Hellenizes it See the🧵below for clear evidence: 1/

@Emmyoluwa1 @MasterMaliq The companions, who had directly lived with and knew the prophets opinions on the matter, clarified explicitly that this exemption was only for Salim

@Emmyoluwa1 @MasterMaliq Yes he said it is exclusive, jurisprudence is based on taking all the existing context. This is just one Hadith among many where the prophet clearly said that it fosterhood suckling is only applicable for babies.

Think about it. Do you really believe the Prophet would tell a grown man to suckle another man's wife just to become family? They call the hadith authentic. But the moment you ask questions, you're told not to question it. Interesting.

@Emmyoluwa1 @MasterMaliq We know there is no potential harm based on medical examination and the verdict of an Islamic judge. And I already explained that Salim was given an exemption. You're not paying attention.

@ImamShamilLib @MasterMaliq 😂 so far there is no harm? Hear yourself How will you know there is harm if you haven't done it? So explain, so you have a 9 years old you want to marry, how will you know there is no harm if you haven't done anything to her? Suckling of adult, I was not talking about kids

@Emmyoluwa1 @MasterMaliq Yes we practice suckling for infants up to 2 years to establish foster relations. And there's no problem in marrying young so long as there's no harm.

@Emmyoluwa1 @MasterMaliq The prophet peace and blessings upon him said, a child is born upon the fitrah and then his parents (and by implication, environment) makes him a christian or Jew or other belief. Meaning not every belief we hold is aligned with the fitrah even if we assume it is.

@ImamShamilLib @mazameen001 @realAlyasa I only read that it ceased to exist entirely & was replaced by Catholics If you are considering those Catholic nations the same as the Orthodox Byzantines, then it makes sense as to why you’d argue Muslims ended Rome

@cntbthatserious @mazameen001 @realAlyasa The Byzantines were not replaced entirely, they were split into multiple kingdoms (that were never conquered). One of those kingdoms retook Constantinople. The empire did not end during that period, it just split up and lost a few cities for a while.

@mazameen001 @realAlyasa This isn’t even true Byzantines ceased to exist for a time in the 13th century as it was replaced by a Catholic kingdom during crusades Rome split between east & west. The east & west divide is very real in Europe today. How could you say these were the exact same thing?

@Emmyoluwa1 @MasterMaliq I'm saying the case of Salim was an exemption, because they adopted him before it (adoption) was forbidden while he was a child but didn't suckle him then. They saw him as a true son, but the 2 year limit had already passed. The prophet pbuh saw this and allowed it on that basis.

@ImamShamilLib @MasterMaliq Let me understand, you are saying suckling for adoption before Islam to the Arabs was done through breastfeeding? If yes, what wrong with that? Except you are claiming adults were adopted like this Which will be a lie because if it was a common tradition, the woman wouldn't say no

@Emmyoluwa1 @MasterMaliq I said adoption was forbidden. Suckling for fosterhood was known by the Arabs and continued after Islam to apply to infants below 2 years. The case for Salim was an exception that the prophet had given due to their unique circumstances. It's not any more complicated than this.

@ImamShamilLib @MasterMaliq the prophet forbid suckling? What was the reason Sahla said she can't suckle him? 😂 The funniest thing is that the woman was sensible enough to give rational reasons why she can't but the prophet was asking for it base on this Hadith Show where the prophet went against suckling

New efforts to systematically collect early Islamic rock inscriptions in Arabia provide increasing evidence for the reliability of information in the hadith corpus. Here is a new discovery that functions to strengthen the reliability of hadith in Sahih al-Bukhari.
Sherlock 🦑🩺@DrAbdullah2_

@hashurtag Now here's the interesting part, this confirms a HADITH that the Prophet said he saw Jaafar was flying with the angels with two wings! So since then, people started calling his son Abdullah (who's Al Walid's boss), as "the son of Two-winged man" From Bukahri !!!!

But of course it is a coincidence that more than 90% of the oldest mosques in recorded history happen to intersect at the same point. We still seem to lack archaeological depth, and mere media headlines are enough to debunk theories based on empirical proof.

The new inscription discoveries ended the last shred of doubt left about the Islam came from Petra theory. For those of you who dont know, Western academics couldnt understand how the Quran knew so much, in Mecca, so they tried to move its origins closer, to Petra.

@Naifalbidh If you did this experiment yourself, you would know that the trajectory from Al Quds to Mecca overlaps with Petra in the first place! What you just said is completely nonsense my friend.

@ImamShamilLib Go to these mosques yourself, the ones still intact, and say the same thing. Once more, open your maps now and view the Al Aqsa complex, and prove to me it isnt pointing towards Petra. This will remain a stumbling block until we are ready to face it.

@Naifalbidh Yeah no, still no real catastrophe. The sample size of mosques considered "early" is overrepresented because of historical events recorded in our tradition (the seat of power established in Sham) If you're referring to the qibla that argument has been refuted to death already

@ImamShamilLib I still do not follow, again, I guess our Islamic world is suffering from sort of historical dissonance here, since they cannot comprehend the scale of this catastrophe. The majority of the mosques intersect in a city where a cubed structures happens to sit in a valley...

@SiriusXSimurgh Tbf although it is true that way more women are involved in consumption of that content then they would admit (as demonstrated by the reactions here), by the same logic men should be forbidden from watching videos or looking at images entirely because the effect is the same

Final Challenge to the Najdis on Iran and Arab states: Do you agree with the following statement? If not, explain why. If Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab were alive today, he would declare takfir upon the rulers and systems of virtually all Arab and Muslim states just as his followers explicitly declared the Ottoman Empire to be a kāfir state, allying with external powers to fight it. If your answer is yes, then your selective theological criticism of Iran collapses. By your own principles, Iran (and every other Muslim-majority state) should be branded an apostate regime and uniting with them is as good/bad as uniting with any other Arab state. If your answer is no, then you are either ignorant of the historical and theological positions of Ibn Abd al-Wahhab and early Najdism, or you are subordinating your supposed principles to current political alliances or your hand is forced.
