What I saw in China is that EVERYONES shares the same social spaces. Business men and women with channel bags and briefcases share the subway with the lazy degenerates. This, in turn, creates a social stigma for those who are not contributing. Social stigma plays a MAJOR role. In USA we idolize homeless, lazy people and elevate them to the status of “saint” for some reason. In China, they’re treated according to their contribution to society. Social harmony.
