@anthonydbrown9 @LlangattockPick That’s a great idea, think I need to send some emails! I know some of the smaller natural cemeteries only allow people to plant bulbs rather than laying flowers, which seems a nice idea, but much more difficult to manage in large council cemeteries.

For the last 2 months the boyfriend has been litter picking along the Weoley Avenue edge of Lodge Hill Cemetery. He goes out at least twice a week and regularly fills a bin bag with the waste, this is the first bucket full today. He’s gone out again to clear more. 1/2

Whilst the general waste is disappointing to see, what is a real shame is the number of plastic flower wrappings. @BhamCityCouncil can anything be done to encourage a more sustainable approach to memorials? Or can more bins be provided along with signage encouraging their use?
