@OMDBpodcast @LaurenMFrancis_ Regarding socio-economic factors, at a country level, there was a difference. Men with unintended births from Low-Income countries had significantly higher risk of adverse mental health than men from middle to high income countries.

@LaurenMFrancis_ @ImogeneLSmith Fascinating research Lauren. Double the risk compared to planned pregnancies is very concerning. Couple of questions: - Is there any thought about whether the increased risk is due to regret, lack of support around the father/couple, both? - Are there socio-economic factors?

New meta-analysis! @deakinresearch @DeakinSeed We found that new fathers who did not plan/want/intend to have that child are at a significantly higher risk of adverse mental health, particularly depression. Read more about these findings here... doi.org/10.1016/j.jad.…

🚨New research alert! 🚨 We systematically reviewed 133 studies (110,968 mothers!) and found that though co-occurrence of psychological distress and bonding problems is common, it should not be assumed. Fantastic work leading this paper @gypsyodea !

Respect begins at home when we role model respectful relationships to babies, toddlers & children. Equality at home helps prevent violence against women. Not all disrespect towards women results in violence. But all violence against women starts with disrespectful behaviour.

Our new article highlights clear links between 2 factors of the Mini Maternal Behavior Q Sort (a measure of parental sensitivity) and infant insecure & disorganised attachment: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/in…
