We are Protected If non-human intelligences wanted to take resources from Earth, they could just take it. If they wanted to exterminate or enslave humans, they could do it. If human fear served reptilian captors, nothing would frighten us more than those captors revealing themselves. None of this is happening because we're protected by Galactic Federation.
