#Manipur: Thousands rally against #AFSPA Protestors from various parts of the valley, including students, chanted slogans such as “Do not obliterate Manipur,” “Repeal AFSPA,” “Long live Manipur,” and “Self-determination is our birthright.”

Kamal Babu, a resident of Gosaipur in Assam's Cachar District and an employee at the Military Engineering Services (MES) in the 57 Mountain Division cantonment at Leimakhong, has been missing since November 25.

Following the detention of Bela Rani and her companions, the media managed to briefly interact with the convenor of Imagi Meira Th. Sujata.  However, the police intervened during the middle of the interview and took her into custody as well.

Manipur Police detained Bela Rani, wife of missing Laishram Kamal Babu, along with a few companions, including Imagi Meira convenor Th Sujata. The group was enroute to Raj Bhawan to seek an audience with the governor regarding Kamal Babu’s disappearance when the incident occurred

Speaking as chief guest CM Biren informed that Manipur is the first state in the country to come under ILP system post-independence. The ILP was implemented in Mizoram, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh which have nearly 90% of their population belonging to tribal communities.
