I don’t really care, I’m rejecting AI & fast civilisation. I don’t want a real time microbiome test or a snapshot of my metabolic profile upon waking. I don’t want 20 ecommerce brands or investment portfolios. I want dirt on my boots, wind in my hair, a child on my hip and dough on my finger tips. I want the luxury of illness and the sweet kiss of recovery. I want the appreciation of death and the pleasure of heartbreak following the luxury to have loved well. And above all else I want real, I want real human experience and not this humanoid nonsense. It’s a privilege to be human, so easily broken and so fragile. The experience that we are having is only made beautiful because it is filled with so much that is not.

@FreyaHolmer Yes - now you need to fractalize it…make the whole screen grow with the square at a certain level, and make the pieces larger to fit. This will make it infinite…just increase speed as you go and add a fail line.

@Tysenberg This was one of my first insights while being with my newborn child in the hospital nursery. Life is quite unique in that it rises and more often than not holds its own against entropy

Casual reminder your life’s importance has no correlation to what percentage of the universe your body occupies and you are the tip of the spear of emergent complexity amidst an otherwise entropic universe with the agency to consciously direct the future of it

the value of “AI-free” brains is gonna skyrocket: 1. ability to entertain an idea without needing instant approval from a sycophantic robot 2. ability to rummage through your mental repository of words and locate the exact right word instead of going with the “close enough" AI approximation 3. keeping your own voice instead of sounding like you're in an NPC chorus band 4. appreciation for the non-quantitative aspects of communication: poetry, subtext, symbolism (things which you cannot brute force your way into) 5. deep, undeniable confidence in your words because they are YOUR words 6. ability to think even when there's no wifi 7. an expansive perspective on the world, where things connect and spillover in quasi-magical ways, instead of a reductive perspective, where you engage with the world only via the limited frame of a screen 8. looking up and looking around more = more observations, more embodied insights, more eureka moments what else?

Honestly? Revolution would have been preferable tbh. But the American people don't have the stomach for such things and prolly won't any time soon. Putting a purity test aside, if I absolutely HAD to vote for one of the 2 conventional parties, it prolly would have been harris. Better the devil you know than the devil you don't. Would also have been a slower decline overall I feel.
