I can't understand how the Akhtars can make something so bad. Like don't get me wrong, the songs and lyrics are amazing. The dance numbers are good. But the story and the acting are just bad.

Also like the dialogues are neither fully in Hindi nor fully in English, and I don't know who's doing what accent anymore

Like I don't understand, are these actors naturally these pretentious, or were they told to act bad an pretentious?

Also like Bollywood still has this prejudice that series are somehow inferior to full length movies I have not seen a single A lister star on a series anywhere

Before even watching #TheArchies, I can say, it's a smart(er) way to launch nepo kids If they perform well on a lower budget Netflix movie, they can move on to bigger budget theatrical movies If they didn't do well, they can just, uh, not do movies anymore?
