There are 539 childcare centers in Washington state that list Somali as the primary language. Most don’t even give a street address. I don’t know how many of these are submitting fraudulent claims for state grants and subsidies, but I have a strong hunch the number is not zero.

Casey Putsch, who is challenging Vivek Ramaswamy for the Republican nomination in the Ohio gubernatorial race, said that H-1B visas and AI data centers are two major problems for Ohioans that he plans to put an end to.
Putsch noted that H-1B visas are “destroying the job market for young Ohioans” and “only help big corporations.” He also expressed concern about rising electricity bills for working Ohioans and the environmental risks posed by data centers, which he said “take advantage of our state, land, energy and environment.”
