@MichiganDems Agreed with the others, drop the tax, since it is not going towards fixing the roads.

@MrPitbull07 If she bought both seats, why did not the mother by a ticket for her toddler.
English

A flight turned tense after a disagreement between two passengers over an extra seat.
According to the account shared online, a plus-size traveler had intentionally purchased two seats for the flight. She explained that she wanted enough space to sit comfortably and avoid making other passengers uncomfortable during the journey.
But during boarding, the situation quickly changed.
A mother traveling with a toddler approached the woman and asked if the child could use the empty seat next to her. The traveler declined, explaining that she had paid for the seat specifically for extra space.
The conversation escalated.
The mother reportedly complained to a flight attendant, arguing that the seat could be used by her child instead. The passenger then showed both of her boarding passes, proving she had purchased and reserved the extra seat.
In the end, the airline allowed the woman to keep the seat she paid for.
The toddler was expected to sit on the parent’s lap, which is a common arrangement permitted for very young children on flights.
Despite the resolution, the woman later said she felt uncomfortable for the rest of the flight, claiming she received disapproving looks and passive-aggressive comments from other passengers.
When the story spread online, it sparked debate.
Some people argued that since she paid for the seat, she had every right to keep it.
Others believed she should have given it up for the child.
The moment turned into another viral discussion about airline etiquette, personal space, and whether paying for something automatically settles the debate.

@DeTocqueville14 Just noticing, now. Broke both financially and morally.

@Th_Midwesterner Government solutions are the problem, since the government does not have to pay for the fix.

@posthumus_bryan I have asked this before, what "data " are these centers collecting ? Solar power in Michigan, good luck when the gray dome covers the state.
English

Google wants to build a new data center in Michigan.
They’re promising to kick in $10 million, and 2.7 GW of “new”
electric power to offset any utility issues or rate increases.
However, a bulk of that electricity is predicted to come from “solar power, advanced storage technologies and demand flexibility.”
I’m not convinced these sources alone will be able to reliably deliver the required power WITHOUT impacting local residents.
English

@matthewmaddock If they are going to spend that much money, start with fixing the roads, even the paved need work let alone the fine gravel roads.
English

@bulldogholmes So tell me where we get all the resources for all the data centers, when copper mines can not keep up with the current demand. It takes a decade to develop and start producing, The costs for miners continues to increase.

@HyperAICapital Data for what ? That total gives an average of 109 centers per state. Good luck with energy bills and water, this is getting out of hand. With Trump's grand plan and this BS who will be able to afford what is coming hyperdragflation, costs go up but your pay does not.

@cecegkh This is why I live out in the country, I could give a shit what someone's mailbox looks like.
English

TO THE NEIGHBOR WHO PAINTED THEIR MAILBOX TO LOOK LIKE A GIANT LADYBUG,
I already contacted the HOA AND the police because this is absolutely ridiculous.
It sticks out like a sore thumb and makes the whole street look trashy. Who thought turning a mailbox into a cartoon bug was a good idea??
It’s embarrassing for the neighborhood and it absolutely tanks property values. I’ve documented everything and reported it.
If it doesn’t get fixed, I’m willing to press charges. Completely unreal.
Did this Karen take this complaint too far by calling the cops, and saying it looks trashy? Does one mailbox really devalue the neighborhood? What charges can this woman file over a mailbox?

English

@oelma__ I do not have chicken legs and dislike wear tight clothing.
English

@HyperAICapital That is a good question, first the US has to stop telling other what they can and cannot do. Can you tell your neighbor how to live in their house, go back to a gold standard so our wealth is not stolen through inflation.

@Geniustechw When I stopped college here is what I was told, you have a job and if you live under my roof, you pay rent. I was out of there in three months, where I paid rent and made my own rules.
English

@HyperAICapital who benefits from these data center ? Do you think that we have all the resources to build out 109 data centers per state, copper, silver, oil and water ? How about fixing the existing infrastructure and upgrading for the people instead of the people paying for corps.

@Th_Midwesterner So you tell me that wives are lying to their husbands to volunteer for this polytick (many blood suckers) that would not be a problem, if they lie about this what else would they lie about ?
