When Shadows Fall didn’t make it into #SPFBOX 😭 😭 I’ve waited almost a year to enter this competition, but alas, luck was not on my side.

I will have less time in the afternoon today as my sister is coming over for supper and there are some things that need doing, but fingers crossed I can still make it!

@InAzandeer Hmm, hard to tell. I’m nearing the point of the story where I skipped a bunch of plot points in draft 1. I’d guesstimate another 40-50k left. 🤔 It’s at 116k right now, but there’s still a lot to cover!

@RWeberWrites Very. Every feedback teaches me something about my writing, me, or the person giving the feedback. As to dealing with it, if it makes sense, I implement it, or at least try not to repeat whatever triggered it.

I can’t believe how neck and neck these two goals have been. I was going to let myself stop with whichever I finished first, but by the looks of it, I might end up completing them both simultaneously. 😂

Man, I am dead tired. Two naps today, and I still barely made it to 9:00… 😴 Hopefully tomorrow isn’t so exhausting!

@EnnsLindy If it's actually issues, it's a good idea to stop. But if you say it's just too much plot, continue to the end and add slow/characterization moments later. But in any case, I am sure the end result will be great!

As much as I’d like to keep charging forward with crazy word count goals while my break from work lasts, I think I need to slow down and start working through some of the story’s issues.
Right now, book 3 is just so stuffed full of plot that there’s no room for the characters.
