Right out of the gate- “dimes are 5 cents right?” 😳 Somewhere along the way we started passing kids when they should have been held back. It’s this participation trophy generation. It became bad to hold kids back. So, now we just keep passing them along when they don’t even know the basics. Did you know in some schools you can get straight F’s and still go to the next grade? We are so behind other countries it’s not even funny. It’s embarrassing. Would you allow your son or daughter to pass to the next grade level if you knew they didn’t know how to read, write or do basic math?
