This Abandoned Plucky little corgi pup kept sneaking back into the noodle shop to find shelter, but the attendant kicked him out. Until One kind human rescued him, fed him chicken, bathed him, did the vet check, and gave him a forever home full of love.

never put me in a situation where i have to show you how heartless i can be. i'm a soft person, i'm kind, i care too much, and i forgive even when it hurts. i give second chances because i believe people can do better, but even someone like me has limits. if you keep hurting me, if you keep disrespecting me, something in me will change. i will stop caring, i will stop trying, and i will not beg for your attention or explain how much it hurts. i will just walk away, and when i do, you will realize you lost someone who truly cared. so do not take my kindness for granted, because once i am done, there is no going back.

“You’re not a visionary: you’re a vendor.” The Devil Wears Prada 2 (🌟🌟🌟🌟) is outstanding. Meryl Streep is impossibly great. This is a sequel totally worthy of being made. Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci- the entire cast & crew- please take a bow. Without question, there are a number of reasons this movie is instantly one of my favorites of the year, but what surprises me most about Prada 2 is the story & the performances. The script is exceptional. The jokes are good. And every actor gets a chance to shine. This movie exceeded my stout expectations. See it immediately.  When The Devil Wears Prada released 20 years ago, it earned instant critical acclaim, Oscar nominations, box office glory, and cultural immortality. All that said, I think this sequel might be better. The reason I hold this belief is because Prada 2 pulls off things that most sequels are incapable of pulling off. The story pays tasteful homage to the original film but most importantly- it builds something new. This is not simply a rerun of the first film. No, this movie creates something of its own while still acknowledging the greatness that happened 20 years ago. The script is equal parts refreshing & nostalgic. Moreover, the screenplay manages to be funny & meaningful at the same time. It’s so rare for films- especially in today’s day and age- to pull all of that off.  The meaningful side of this story is the way in which Prada 2 tackles the changing corporate & economic landscape that’s consuming us all. Hell, Prada 2 tackles the changing world around us in full. We meet Hathaway’s Andy Sachs 20 years later as a renowned, award-winning journalist whose publication is bought-out within minutes of the film. Andy loses her job at the same time Meryl’s Miranda is caught in a massive PR scandal that results in Runway needing immediate help managing its public image. The idea here is that Andy is brought back to Runway to help fix the magazine’s bad PR while also adding some editorial substance.  But this film’s intelligence is acknowledging & exploring the idea that excellence & artistry, whether it be in either journalism or fashion or any field really, is on the chopping block. No one cares about true quality anymore- it’s all being lost. Real, meaningful art is being slashed across the board for cheap, bullshit “content”. How does Miranda Priestly, who’s built her career & her life on exploring excellence, deal with a world that is falling into a pit of mediocrity with no taste? This is a question worth answering. As Runway loses so much of its budget & so much of its vision under this collapsing world, how do Andy & Miranda combat that? It helps when Tucci’s Nigel and Emily Blunt’s…well, Emily (she is so funny in this film)….are around to help fight against the constant gravitational pull towards average, which is where the humor & nostalgia comes in. All of this results in a compact 2 hour story with a plot that never stops moving forward. Also worth mentioning? The production on this film is bonkers. Everything appears to be shot on location- whether in New York or in Milan. The wardrobe is just also out of this world- I can’t imagine the cost. And everything looks and feels real. It’s not just that the story is strong here- I found the filmmaking interesting too.  Now consider everything I just sad & smother it in fantastic acting. Great performances across the board from every last actor who appears in this film, from Kenneth Branagh to Justin Theroux. Everyone in this film is on the same page- everyone understood the assignment. No one mailed it in. Hathaway in particular is the perfect centerpiece for this film. She has not aged at all since the first movie- her smile is electric & her emotional range is as good as ever. But man…this movie starts & ends with Meryl Streep. At 76, Streep is so fucking commanding on screen. You hold your breath with her every word. You still see the glint in her eye that was there when she gave an Oscar-winning performance in Kramer vs. Kramer nearly 5 decades ago. In other words, she still has her 100 MPH fastball. Her performance & her iconic line delivery made me laugh & it almost made me cry. The entire film, I couldn’t help but marvel at Streep’s work. She is simply one of the best actors I’ve ever seen & she’s still at the top of her game.  I hope this movie smashes the box office to smithereens. Let cash fall from the sky. Let the popcorn flow. The Devil Wears Prada 2 just knocked it out of the park.
