@TaimaninOni @everyonebpup Oh believe me I am in no way mitigating the sheerly amazing numbers that it did. OG Star Wars easily deserves its spot at number 4 where the sequels really don’t deserve the spots they are at imho. (Personally I think Episode 3 deserves the spot far more than any of the sequels)

@Ina_Simp_ @everyonebpup The opposite should given attention. When it came out in 1977, Star Wars was a no-name passion project with no brand power. There was no reason to care, but in 2015, Star Wars was the biggest multimedia franchise on Earth, and in '77, a ticket cost $2 ($8 adj.), and $12+ in 2015.

@TaimaninOni @everyonebpup To be fair to them, though, the original Star Wars run was INSANELY huge. Adjusted for inflation it’s still to this day the fourth highest grossing film of all time. It didn’t matter who you were, basically EVERYONE went to see Star Wars.

@AlmostMaybeBlue @ipoinn Yeah it’s never really specified, and it also doesn’t help that they used an image of a mushroom cloud which is commonly associated with nukes (but doesn’t have to be.) it was an experimental thermobaric bomb according to the lore.

@ShitpostRock2 Even beyond the fantastic multiplayer, it’s also a fantastic game that in my case, I revisit every few years when I’m feeling like it. Across both ps4 and ps5 versions I’ve probably got like 100 hours in just the story. Game is well worth the prices I paid
