@sdamico @IncCombustion The combustion probe is great. I did have it fail, but they sent me a new one. I’m a fan. Do they have a published API, or are you reverse engineering it.

@sublimejackman It sounds like there are two issues: we need to replace one of your chargers that is not holding the probe securely. The second issue sounds like there is incompatible firmware on the display or booster, which can prevent the prediction from setting.

@IncCombustion Q: Is the little plastic ‘clip’ at the top of the WiFiBooster supposed to hold my Thermo 2G in? Pic on the website implies the spring steel contact does, is angled… mine is not… Thermo falls out (easily, pops really), and thus is always dead when I go to use it.

Fun weekend! The Gen 2 Combustion Inc thermometer just delivered, so it’s a good excuse to get the pellet smoker going again. After 3 months of looking, I finally found a very specific model of power steering motor for my car, which will let me expand self-driving capabilities later this month.

@_MG_ Solid looking tri-tip. It’s still an underrated cut.

Need some adjustments next time, but tri-tip is very forgiving. I’m just amazed this wireless probe has a battery that is just fine to cook for hours at a time. Even up to 900F. Nice work @IncCombustion

@CaptnFalcon_ The news we’ve been given by the company that handles our international fulfillment is not promising. The strike has spilled over on to the other carriers in Canada. They’re all over-capacity and saying they’re backed up, and to expect big delays. Sorry to not have better news.

@IncCombustion Would really love to get a predictive thermometer in time for Christmas, in Canada. How's the shipping situation right now? We have a postal strike and it seems most private carriers are overwhelmed.

@hellopaige All of the costs are calculated and collected at checkout so that there are no surprise bills when your order arrives.

@hellopaige Shipping to Canada is handled by a third-party partner (Passport) who becomes the importer of record. They handle paying all the import costs, sales taxes, Canadian customs paperwork, and then arrange to have it delivered (usually by Canada Post).

@IncCombustion any idea why the prediction is really accurate when cooking on the grill and extremely inaccurate cooking in a cast iron skillet?
