Today, the Office of Inclusive Excellence proudly celebrates Juneteenth. Juneteenth is also known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, Liberation Day, and Emancipation Day.

The Office of Inclusive Excellence proudly celebrates Juneteenth. Originating in Galveston, Texas, Juneteenth celebrates the emancipation of enslaved Africans and the announcement of the abolition of slavery on June 19, 1865. Texas is the last state to officially abolish slavery.
