If you have not seen the news, we are sorry to report that after spending time, money, effort, and many other resources, the state of Indiana will not have @DrJillStein on our ballot. Details may be read in the post below. We are deeply disappointed and angry, and will fight.

@Chrislozan00 This was Indiana, Trump ended up winning by 19.1%, a vote for Harris was wasted in this state. We stand by Jill's urge for supporters to vote for Claudia, who has received more votes than Cornel West in the state. Kamala and Trump support genocide; the INGP opposed both rightly.

We here at the INGP could not have said it better ourselves, so we aren't going to try.

@inourwordsprjct @DrJillStein In Indiana, unless a candidate is qualified with the Secretary of State to be a write-in, votes for them will not be counted. Due to the catch-22 described in the post, the campaign did not file due to the fact it would end the signature counting. We're discussing best options.

@leftyvegan @BricePartain92 @DrJillStein I cannot speak to Nader's run, except that however much he attempted, he was never on the ballot, nor was any other Green for president. So either they filed for write-in and didn't try for signatures, or tried for signatures, figured they were short, then filed for write-in.

@IndGreenParty @BricePartain92 @DrJillStein Yeah, it is. So if I understand you correctly, in all the other Green Presidential campaigns starting with Nader's in 2000, there weren't enough signatures gathered, or not enough over the threshold for it to be worth having them counted?

As seen on the General Election candidate list (in.gov/sos/elections/), Jill Stein is not a registered write-in (she had to choose this, which would have ended the signature counting), so a vote cast for her will not be recorded or reported.

@leftyvegan @BricePartain92 @DrJillStein This is because we actually tried for ballot access. As explained in the post, once we had the signatures collected, the campaign was forced to choose between filing as a write-in candidate, and thus voiding all the signatures, or trying for the ballot. It's completely unjust.

@IndGreenParty @BricePartain92 @DrJillStein Green Presidential candidates have always been eligible as write-ins in the past, even though there were petition campaigns that fell short of ballot access. Is that not the case this time?

@SouLJOo0oOurney @wulfaufzug @DrJillStein Under Indiana law, unless one registers as a write-in, votes for them will not count, period. They are not required to be reported. Jill Stein's campaign was forced to make a choice between possibly being on the ballot or just a write-in, due to deadlines that make no sense.

It is crazy that the Green party is implying that voters write in votes won't count. It is similarly crazy after collecting so many signatures for ballot access, there was no write-in ballot access..

Jason Call of Washington was of immense help to the INGP in our attempt for ballot access. We know money if tight, but Green solidarity is important. If you could give anything, it could help us have a Green in Congress, and a stand-up one as well. #GreenParty

@PianoMan1855 @DrJillStein We have an ongoing lawsuit against the Secretary of State, and all of the events we encountered will be compiled and handed to our lawyer to show what this ballot access law actually looks like on the ground if you attempt it.

@PianoMan1855 @DrJillStein Yes. We were required to turn everything in physically in Indy at noon on July 15th, but county clerks have no time requirement to validate signatures. Some just didn't, and there was one office where the clerk was just on vacation. It's a remnant from the 80's, this election law
