@PILLAY_CGLM @DIRCO_ZA @DrZweliMkhize Government pays for a maximum of 14 days of quarantine and PUI’s can choose to stay for the total 14-days even if they have received the go-ahead to depart by the DOH. Majority of guests have opted to leave before the 14-day period once they have been discharged by the DOH.

FYI all of this took place at the Indaba Hotel in Fourways. @DIRCO_ZA @DrZweliMkhize Repatriation passengers were made to sign a form for 14 days mandatory quarantine. The hotel allowed people to leave after 6 days!

@PILLAY_CGLM @DIRCO_ZA @DrZweliMkhize Release of quarantine guests is only done so by the DOH following strict protocols. Our government is updated daily with current number of PUI’s in-house and once departed, all room charges for the particular PUI is immediately stopped.
