I also brought a motion asking @LASDHQ to report back on how much it will cost to provide free access to basic hygiene supplies for people in custody. If someone is in the care of LA County, we have a responsibility to meet their most basic needs. This is about health & dignity.

People incarcerated in our jails should have consistent, dignified access to menstrual products and basic hygiene supplies—but right now, that is not the case. So today I brought forward a proposal to ensure menstrual products are consistently available for women in our jails.
