Gaya shares why she is thankful for NZ art:
"I am thankful for the show WEiRdo that was put on at Basement Theatre in 2018. It was my first theatre show in a very long time, I think that the show was one of the reasons I continued working and creating work in theatre."

From Abhishek, our intern:
"I'm grateful for Lorde's first studio album Pure Heroine. When it first came out, I was in the middle growing up myself, and I listened to this on repeat for years. The success of this record made me proud of little old NZ taking over the world." #TFA

From Jacob:
“As far as NZ sculpture goes, you can’t go past Terry Stringer. This one has pride of place in my office. You literally can’t go past it - my office is tiny! I love the Tui’s outline shaped by the hands. Great art is like that - lets you touch the invisible”.

If you've ever been to Q, you'll know what a unique space it is. It was the perfect fit for our season of Mrs K. last year. They've launched a fundraiser to recover their massive loss of over 85% of income. Any donation, big or small, is vital. Help at qtheatre.co.nz

From Jude:
Art wakes me up and helps me sleep at night
From first notes sung in the shower
To dance moves that even now, burst out of my aging body
From the paintings and artwork that adorn our walls,
To the books that make a wall on their own
I’m always so thankful
For Art

Although #TFA ended last week, we wanted to share the NZ art that Indian Ink members are thankful for! Our co-founder Justin Lewis says "I'm thankful for Toy Love's eponymous album 'Toy Love'. I love the energy and wit of it. I can blast it out and release lockdown frustrations".

We're grateful for being able to continue creating new work during this lockdown period #TFA What art are you thankful for?!

"I love theatre gags as much as the next guy but if that’s all you get it becomes a bit like candy floss — sweetness with no nourishment." - Writer and actor Jacob Rajan on our resident oxymoron, The Serious Laugh😀
