Held a review meeting with the Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs and senior officials of BIS on the proposals for construction of new BIS office-cum-laboratory buildings at Lucknow and Ranchi. The discussions focused on strengthening BIS's infrastructure to support its expanding role in standardisation, testing and certification, growing market surveillance activities and consumer protection.
