Alot of early Byzantine delusions about Muslim theology could have been resolved if they only bothered to ask the Muslim neighbours instead of just speculating lol. Eventually it did come to pass. But Byzantines really came up with some wild stories like a schismatic Christian sect, Arianism, Aphrodite worship etc lol
