We're not done with winter weather just yet! Indy Snow Force crews will deploy for a pair of rotating 12-hour shifts beginning tonight at 11:00 and continuing through Wednesday.

DPW will be monitoring the roads overnight and will treat slick spots as necessary.

Temperatures are expected to drop rapidly following rainfall. Crews will be out monitoring and treating roads, which could see impacts to Monday commutes.

Much colder weather expected after storms exit tonight with upwards of an inch of snow by Monday evening. There may be a few bursts of snow Monday afternoon which could produce hazardous travel conditions. #INwx

The 30th Street Bridge opened this week for two lanes of vehicular traffic, as well as bike/ped. The remaining two vehicular lanes will hopefully open up in May!

Crews are out on Troy Avenue taking care of some strip patching in the southbound lane from Harding Street to Bluff Road. It’s all part of keeping the road in good shape and making your drive a little smoother. Thanks for your patience while we get it done!

The city's strip-patching program has been boosted for 2026 with an additional $10 million, so expect to see plenty of work across Indianapolis in the coming months!

Crews recently completed strip-patching the rough spots along 10th Street between Cumberland Road and German Church Road.

Construction contractors are now active for the season. Multiple crews will be working across the county this spring, taking care of the streets hit the hardest following a harsh winter.

The potential for multiple rounds of heavy rainfall exists tonight. This may create new flooding or worsen existing flooding. Thunderstorms on Wednesday may also produce brief heavy rain. #inwx

With millions of more dollars going toward strip patching this year, more residents will begin to see a noticeable difference on our roadways. Crews will have to block traffic at times to do this work, so please remember to take care when driving near an active work zone.

This dry, sunny weather means DPW contractors are able to get out to start strip patching work. Crews remove a section of the pavement and then replace it with a layer of hot mix. This is a longer term fix for our roads.

Our Indy DPW crews with @afscmelocal725 have filled more than 62,000 potholes since the start of 2026. They were back at it again Friday, patching potholes all across town including along East 10th Street.

This work limits the amount of pollution that can get into our local waterways. Property owners can help do their part by clearing storm drains adjacent to parcels.

Indy DPW crews were out this morning removing litter and debris that was obstructing water flow through this ditch. Our crews will inspect and unclog backups along other city streams this week as heavy rain moves in.
