“While everybody going briefer, I am saying go longer” -Michael Perlis. While only 17% gain the modest 30 min increase in TST after standard 6-8 sessions, 63% gain it by 1 year. Can we titrate faster and more effectively with 16-20 sessions which is more typical in CBT-D, etc.

Great workshop on insomnia with severe anxiety by @michaelgrandner @ljcuddihy and Sara Nowakowski. ACT for accepting normal or uncontrollable sleep variabilities is key (as in age related sleep changes pictured below) and not necessarily orthogonal to also using traditional CT

Novel longitudinal method by Thomas Speer for assessing COMISA with HSAT suggests 3+ nights of monitoring to adjust for night to night variability. #sleep2024 #sleep2024houston
