@wbitwbb There should absolutely be a statement released regarding Ball State’s omission. Provide a little transparency as to why they’re not in this field, while two teams that they beat and are better than in every metric are in this field.

@bannon82 We always told our kids a mandatory shut down of 2 weeks. Don’t touch a ball, stay out of the gym, rest your body, etc. Kids are usually itching to get back in the gym after that time frame. For us it always seemed that way anyways.

How long do you think a high school player should wait (rest and recover) between school ball season and AAU season? 🤔

Jumping straight into AAU after a long high school season is both unsafe & irresponsible. Programs that truly care about the mental and physical health of their players understand this. Rest & recovery are essential for real growth. Basketball should challenge athletes - but it shouldn’t be a nonstop, year-round marathon.

Regardless of how good you were this season, don’t ever underestimate how much better you can get in 8-9 months. With a strategic, precise skill development plan & a strength/conditioning plan that works on the right things, you can come into the new season a much better player!

The “Sprint towards the bench” is purest form of joy in team sports. In the final seconds, you see the 5 on the floor run towards their teammates to celebrate an accomplishment that few get to experience. If that doesn’t drive you, then we are not the same.
