Elmwood Pond is officially CLOSED for Ice Skating due to warmer temperatures. We were glad to see so many of you out and enjoying the pond this year - thanks to everyone who safely shared the space so our youth could enjoy some wintertime fun! ❄️⛸🏒

⛸ If green signs are not posted, then the ice is no longer safe for skating. We will be posting updates here & on our Facebook page. ⛸ Restrooms are available at the Outdoor Pool bldg along with the Pressbox during park hours. ❄️ Stay safe & happy skating Independence! ❄️ (3/3)

Elmwood Pond is still open for skating - cold temps should keep it frozen through the weekend (& hopefully through next week... fingers crossed!) We have also installed a fire pit for you to keep warm (feel free to bring S'mores supplies as well)! Grab your skates & head on down!
