I was out patrolling with @Indytenpoint OGs to help curb the pattern of urban youth violence impacting black males ages 12-24 at the Carriage House East Apartments at 42nd and Mitthoefer Rd tonight. 8 Indy TenPoint Coalition patrol teams patrol 12 hotspot areas across the city. Each patrol team is out 4 or 5 nights each week, regardless of the weather, trying to help keep the peace and help keep at-risk black males ages 12-24 alive, out of prison, and on a pathway of success. Since 1999, 87 times, Indy TenPoint Coalition patrol areas in partnership with IMPD and the community have gone an entire year without a criminal homicide of black males ages 12-24. **Indianapolis TenPoint Coalition Update - There were no non-fatal shootings and criminal homicides of black males aged 12-24 in the 12 Indianapolis TenPoint Coalition hotspot patrol areas in the first 55 days of 2026. ⬇️ @Indytenpoint This update highlights our ongoing efforts to reduce urban youth violence among young men of color aged 12 to 24 in the 12 hotspot patrol areas. Our mission is to keep these young men safe, out of prison, and on a path to success. Since 1999, in partnership with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) and the community, we have celebrated 87 instances in which our patrol areas went an entire year without a juvenile or young adult criminal homicide. I was out tonight with @Indytenpoint OGs at 42nd and Mitthoefer Rd and at 38th and Mitthoefer Rd, patrolling hotspot areas. This 10 Point team will add 42nd and Post Rd to its weekly hotspot patrol areas one day a week.

Indianapolis City-County Council passes Proposal 18, a special resolution recognizing the Indianapolis Ten Point Coalition for playing a vital role in helping to reduce urban youth violence in the Indianapolis community for over 26 years.

I am in the Carriage House East Apartments with one of the Far East Side @Indytenpoint patrol teams. We are engaging residents. We hear a lot about what's going on in the neighborhood when we talk to the residents.

I was out with @Indytenpoint OG's on both the far east side and the west side tonight. It was cold. Our mission is to help curb the pattern of urban youth violence among young men of color aged 12-24. There have been 3 youth murders in our 11 high-crime patrol areas in 2025. #ResultsMatter #SavingLives

Over the past 26 years, the Indianapolis TenPoint Coalition has monitored key areas, mainly in the 46208 zip code. In 2018, we expanded our patrols to the far east side, covering 38th to 42nd Street from Post Road to Mitthoefer Road until July 2019. In January 2020, we further expanded to include 38th to 42nd Street between Mitthoefer Road and Germany Church Road. The @Indytenpoint mission focuses on reducing urban youth violence, especially among Black males aged 12-24. Homicide remains the leading cause of death for Black males aged 1-44. Our impact is measured by comparing murder rates among children and juveniles to those among adults aged 25 and older. In 2025, within the 11 hotspot areas we patrol, there have been no murders among children aged 1-11, three among youths aged 12-24, and six among adults aged 25-60. Clearly, the patrol teams and OGs of the Indianapolis TenPoint Coalition have been effective in reducing urban youth violence among black males ages 12-24 by facilitating conflict resolution, providing positive influence, and guiding them toward success.

I was out tonight with @Indytenpoint OGs on the far east side at the Carriage House East Apartments at 42nd and Mitthoefer Rd. The 10 Point patrol team spoke with many residents in the complex. All was quiet tonight in the apartment complex. On my way now to meet up with one of the 10 Point patrol teams on the west side.
