Elizabeth Warren’s amendment to strike the grandfather clause on the Clarity Act is ridiculous. She’s trying to remove protections from $XRP and other established tokens that already got spot ETF approval, forcing stricter rules on them.

What to expect tomorrow on the Clarity Act: They’ll start at 10:30am with opening remarks. The Senate Committee will open up to reading the amendments, and they will allow a “short” debate per with a vote on that amendment. If the vote fails, the amendment is discarded. If the vote passes they will add it to the existing bill. They will do this until lunch.. take a break. After they come back, they will continue all afternoon with the same process. They will keep going until ALL amendments have been voted on. After that, they will make a final vote to move it out of committee. With the amount of amendments, I don’t see this ending early.. it could take all day. It’s very possible they table it for a second day. Either way, they currently have the votes for passing it out.

100+ amendments on the Clarity Act is a joke. Politicians rushing this mess with secret changes, screwing retail and stripping developer protections is disgusting.

Senator Jack Reed also proposed banning crypto assets as legal tender. Lawmakers are preparing for a major markup vote on the crypto market structure bill.
