If the Lebanese gov indeed prefers IDF solve this problem on its own, as you believe, then I think this is a major miscalculation. Where is the Lebanese win condition in all this? What I believe would be the most likely outcome: Lebanon's gov will be internationally viewed as an illegitimate body that is unfit for sovereignty, by their own admission and inaction. Lebanese cities will look like Gaza while Israel takes more and more territory. Large-scale population displacement. These are the more immediate effects but you can go further then that. Also, there is a small chance the US will join Israel and attempt to take Lebanon for itself

@InfectedD_11 @Osint613 It's also not politically possible to team up with Israel to destroy Hezbollah. It will alienate 30% of the population who are Shiite Muslim. Truth is, I believe the Leb gov prefers Israel does the job on it's own, than risk civil war. It's perceived as the lesser of two evils.

@InfectedD_11 @Osint613 The Leb gov isn't exactly Islamic for it to do taqiyya. In fact, half is Christian, including the president & commander of the army. The gov genuinely does want Hezb disarmed, but by pressure & negotiation. I agree it's not the most effective way, but it's all their able to do.

Lebanon is a secular state, with the biggest religious sect being Maronite Catholic Christians. Educate yourself
