I can echo this. It's probably two per day at the moment. We have to set up schools so everyone can thrive, not just obey and pass tests. Every school should have at least one ARP to meet the needs of the children that come through their door.

@garethkthomas Natural justice is my favourite because there's no way for my kids to argue with it. I believe logical consequences should move from protective "supervised use of phone" to educational "here's how to handle your feelings" until the person is independent.

Our core task is to regulate the brainstem of our young people who are dysregulated. A child who is dysregulated will not be able to engage .We need to regulate the brainstem back to the thinking brain so our young people can access skills needed for cognitive processing.🧠🌱

@bennewmark Teaching is so difficult when responsibility for learning falls solely on the teacher's shoulders. Ideally, we should spend more time in primary school getting children to fall in love with the subjects and taking responsibility for learning. Preparation for adulthood.

I look at brilliant strategies for teaching well and then the size of the GCSE spec I teach and despair sometimes. They aren't compatible. Predominantly GCSE success is about the motivation of students to do lots of independent work.

It's sad to think how many people in an organisation are made to feel "just do your job". Agency has dwindled and they are frightened of changing anything. Following orders is often vital but everyone is put on this planet to experience joy and satisfaction.
