A woman passenger had a terrifying experience after booking an Ola auto from Baner to PVR Icon Mall, Hinjawadi. After completing the ride and paying ₹186 via the app, the driver — identified as Rajesh Daulat Devgirkikar — allegedly refused to accept the app fare and demanded extra ₹70 as per the meter. When she questioned him, he reportedly started abusing her, leading to a heated argument even after her cousin tried to intervene.
What followed was even more disturbing. The woman later claimed she began receiving repeated Google Pay requests of ₹1 and abusive, sexually explicit messages from the driver. Despite blocking him, he allegedly contacted her from multiple numbers and even searched for her on social media to send a request. She also noticed a serious discrepancy — the driver’s name shown on the Ola app did not match the person she interacted with.
Fearing for her safety, she tried to file a complaint on the RTO Pune WhatsApp helpline but claimed she received no response. The incident has now sparked fresh concerns over women’s safety, driver verification and accountability in app-based rides.

Did anyone see any notice asking large construction work to be stopped, new building approvals put on hold, no more concrete roads, car wash centers to be shut or any other measure to conserve water? These news articles are published so that the public starts believes in the shortage, not realising that behind the scene PMC and it's staff ensures that societies dont get enough water and are forced to buy tanker water. Who earns from it? Everyone right from the valve-man to the Corporator to the MLA. The Pune water tanker business is an annual 400Cr business. The rest of us can keep paying our taxes and also buying water tankers.
@ThePuneMirror it is also your duty to ask questions.

Pune may soon face a serious water shortage this summer as the city continues to draw more water than its sanctioned quota from the Khadakwasla dam chain. Officials say rising demand, increasing population and higher summer consumption are putting heavy pressure on existing water storage levels. While reservoirs currently hold usable water, the supply situation could become difficult in the coming months if usage is not controlled.
Data shows that tanker demand has already started rising across several parts of the city, indicating early signs of stress in the water distribution system. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely and may need to introduce stricter water management measures if consumption remains high. Citizens are being urged to use water responsibly to avoid severe shortages during peak summer.

Did you know that before chlorine became the gold standard, copper was the go-to for keeping water crystal clear?
Long before modern filtration, ancient civilizations like the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans recognized copper’s powerful antimicrobial properties. They used copper vessels to store water and even threw copper coins into wells to keep the water “sweet” and free from pathogens. 🏺
In the early days of swimming pools, copper ionization was the primary way to sanitize the water. It works by releasing positively charged copper ions that naturally destroy bacteria and algae on contact—a method that’s still used today in many eco-friendly, low-chlorine pool systems.🛡️
It’s a perfect example of how ancient wisdom often aligns with modern science to provide a cleaner, more natural way to live.
Did you know?
• The Egyptians: Used copper to sterilize drinking water as early as 2400 B.C.
• The Science:
Copper ions (Cu^{2+}) disrupt the cell walls of bacteria, effectively neutralizing them without the harsh chemical smell of chlorine.🦠

He watched Dhurandhar 2 and got convinced that Congress was working with Pakistan to destroy India.
The same Congress that broke Pakistan into Two pieces and defeated it in multiple wars when it was in power.
Leave India ASAP. With low-IQ Bhakts like these having equal voting rights as you, this country is going nowhere, the future is literally dark 💀
And some people still say this is not a propaganda movie 🤡👋

NOBODY KNOWS HOW FUCKED THE SITUATION IN THE PERSIAN GULF ACTUALLY IS.
3,200 ships are TRAPPED in the Persian Gulf right now.
Crews are running out of drinking water.
One ship called the local port authority and BEGGED for permission to dock — just to get water.
They were DENIED. 💀
Let that sink in.
These aren't military ships. These are commercial vessels — carrying oil, grain, electronics — with civilian crews who are now stranded with NO supplies and NO way out.
– 3,200 ships STUCK ⚠️
– Crews running out of WATER 💀
– Port authorities REFUSING to let them dock ⚠️
– Multiple ships reporting the SAME situation 💀
⚠️ For context — the Suez Canal crisis in 2021 blocked 400 ships. This is EIGHT TIMES worse. And nobody is talking about it.
They're showing you missile interceptions and oil price charts.
They're NOT showing you thousands of crew members slowly running out of drinking water in the middle of a war zone.
If these ships start getting abandoned, the environmental disaster alone would be catastrophic. Thousands of tons of fuel, cargo, chemicals — just sitting there.
This is not a shipping disruption. This is a HUMANITARIAN CRISIS unfolding in real time.
Prepare accordingly. 🚨🚨🚨
