Ce jour, ils étaient près de 100 personnes, hommes et femmes de tous les âges à recevoir cet appui fourni par @RELUFA avec le soutien financier de PDA-PC USA. Au-delà de ce soutien, c'est un message d'espoir qui est passé pour saluer la résilience de ces personnes.

Today, nearly 100 people—men and women of all ages—received this assistance provided by @RELUFA with financial support from PDA- @PCUSAWashington . Beyond the distribution itself, a message of hope was conveyed to honor the resilience of these people.

On Wednesday April 15, we carried out the first phase of distributing essential items to beneficiaries of the ‘Providing Assistance and Strengthening Resilience’ project. This first day, 111 people displaced by the ongoing crisis in the NW and SW regions received essential goods

RELUFA through its Peace Advocacy and Humanitarian Relief Program continue to advocate for the end of the conflict ripping the Anglophone Regions of Cameroon where kidnapping for ransome, torture and inhumane treatment of the population persists.

Artisanal mining is an undeniable source of livelihood for many families in the East Region of Cameroon. It helps in the exploitation of diamond and gold resources deemed uneconomical by large-scale miners thus significantly reducing the rate of rural to urban migration which has for some years been a concern in Cameroon. Formalization and support for this key sector remains a major deficit relegating to the fringe its contribution to the local and national economy. The government needs to redouble efforts to reverse this trend.
