@kurteichenwald Don't be so easy on the GOP! They supported him, & enable him still. They could pass a bill & send it to him to either sign or veto. They could even override his veto if they wanted. They're waiting for him to tell them what to do, rather than just doing what should be done.

The out of touch billionaire running the incoming Trump Administration announced last night that he enthusiastically supports the neo-Nazi party in Germany. WTF. NONE OF THIS IS OK, EVERYONE. NONE OF THIS IS NORMAL.

Important from Sen Chris Murphy: He says Dems are not functioning as an effective opposition to Trump's accelerating authoritarianism right now, and that this is dangerously complacent. We had a long exchange about this. In these 4 screen caps: newrepublic.com/article/189552…

Trump is intimidated by President Elon. Now he has his spokesperson out doing damage control cause Elon is calling the shots. Trump was silent on the bill until his boss, President Elon, spoke.

@joseaxelrod @S_Pedian @TheTNHoller @mcuban You can't make any comparisons to Trump given that Trump's entire presidency is outside the scope of this graph! And also given that, even if the rest of the 2010 decade were included, it would be averaged in with Obama from 2010-2020 anyway.

WATCH: “The root of inflation started with Trump.” Pretty wild that only @mcuban and a few others talked about Trump’s OPEC 2020 deal getting Saudi Arabia & Russia to cut oil production, and the role it played in spiking gas prices — which spiked inflation for 2 years.

@mjprogue @HegelwCrmCheese When did Trump ever say anything about pardoning Hunter? And Biden didn't "hand" Trump anything. The pardon power belongs to the presidency. Biden didn't create a new power that Trump can now use. Trump was already President once & even pardoned Charles Kushner, Jared's father.

@InfoSecAdrian @HegelwCrmCheese Dude learn to fucking read...it's actually better this way. I wouldn't support Trump pardoning his evil ass but it would have brought down the temp. Biden just handed Trump unlimited pardon power...the retard might be dumber than you. There's a reason even the Dems are pissed

If you read my book you’ll see how Rs use both their media system and the normal system to set narratives, then report them as organic public opinion. Here @ScottJenningsKY is reporting a public opinion created by conservatives that people are very skeptical of their institutions when the source of skepticism is conservative media framing telling them our institutions are corrupt.
Scott Jennings@ScottJenningsKY

Discussed @Kash_Patel nom for FBI director on @cnn. Public has lost faith in the agency and he may just be the change agent to get it back.

Absolutely agree with this, and would only add that the context — the establishment's visceral need to stop Sanders & his movement at all costs — is a key to the story. They viewed rank dishonesty around Biden as preferable to nominating one of America's most popular politicians.

@blackopsposter @chellelaine @LukewSavage You actively worked against Harris, who was the only boss alternative to Trump, yet you claim you didn't want Trump to win. Hurting Harris can only help Trump, & vice versa. And you claim *I* don't understand how voting works?!

All jokes aside it's really fucked up to see so many people on here celebrating murder. No one here is the judge of who deserves to live or die. That's the job of the AI algorithm the insurance company designed to maximise profits on your health

@VABVOX @SteveRattner @Morning_Joe But wait, there's more! They want to cut gov't spending to offset massive tax cuts to themselves! They're looting the Treasury & calling it "efficiency"! The only "efficiency" they'll actually achieve is the most efficient heist in history.

@pete_gideon @JamesSurowiecki And would it be more or less efficient to just have a single set of regs to comply w, or to have federal regs, state regs, & different rules imposed by each insurer, that all need to be complied with, & which sometimes probably even contradict each other?

Does Elon Musk not understand that the reason our healthcare administrative costs are so high is because we rely on the private sector to administer most of our health care?
