I gave ALLfiring a try, and I’ve got a lot to say about it!
Let’s start with the good stuff. I really love the blend of hand-drawn chibis and voxel graphics. The characters are beautifully animated, and the world is a joy to explore. It really captures that nostalgic, blocky-game vibe from back in the day. The character designs are gorgeous, with some really unique ones thanks to animal-human hybrids. We’re talking everything from catgirls to centaurs. And yeah, it’s yet another game that somehow forgot male characters even exist. The fanservice on the event banner really caught me off guard... The camera zooms right in on their backsides from the very first second. The gacha system itself is pretty neat. It’s basically a chessboard you shake and lift. The story isn’t exactly gripping, but it throws you straight into the action and chaos right from the get-go. It’s genuinely interesting to uncover the world as you explore... It’s got all the standard gacha staples: dailies, a battle pass, limited-time events, and character progression. But the visual presentation and overall atmosphere are surprisingly cozy.
Now, onto the not-so-great stuff. I ran into some login issues at first. Just a black screen, but it eventually loaded up. The optimization is still a bit rough around the edges. I played comfortably overall, but there were noticeable frame drops in towns and during combat. The story feels a bit disjointed at first because of how it’s presented—you just need a little time to really get hooked. My gacha luck was pretty rough... I never managed to pull a legendary with the free rolls. There’s no option to switch voice-overs, and I couldn’t find any other language settings either. On top of that, I kept getting disconnected from the server. My internet’s a bit unstable, and it booted me out a few times. I’d end up not at a save point, but in an area I’d already cleared ages ago. The chests were still open and my rewards were safe, but it still left a bit of a sour taste.

Honestly, this game was a really chill experience for me. It’s straightforward and genuinely sweet. It’s probably best to wait until the devs patch the bugs and iron out the optimization.
