@InfokubArcade What I'm saying is Unity is trying to win a war it will never win, Unity was the right engine for newcomers and amateurs. It ignited the indie scene because it destroyed the entry barriers for many. It should stay in that segment not try to be for AAA games.

@oboka This is another topic. Yes Unity6 has MANY breaking changes and it wont stop there (removing Built in pipeline so every project before v6 wont be upgradable) but all the tools they provide are easy to use for most common cases and enable many newcomers to create pro games.

@InfokubArcade Even more, if you're a dev and you want the level of fine-tuning Unity is pushing with all that packages, you better write your own engine. Complex is updating a two years old proj and losing all your virtual cams settings because cinemachine has been upgraded and is not compatib

@oboka You know this software is made for professionals right ? All of these are optionnal packages, you can make your own if needed. And i dont get what kind of complexity you encounter, all your examples can be ready in 10min each and deliver everything a game requires.

@InfokubArcade @KenneyNL I won't be using URP if it wasn't for shadergraph. I'm talking about addressables, new input system, localization, and many other frameworks that are needlessly complex. This should be done in background, game developers don't need to deal with that in an engine like Unity.

@KenneyNL Absolutely, they had such a nice API years before, you could start making games without even reading the docs. Now everything is so complex, with so many options that you shouldn't care as a game dev, you'd better try another engine.
