@The_Davos_Man Ukraine was an integral part of soviet union, and we share both things to be proud of and things to be ashamed of from that legacy.
Most parts of shameful things had root in moscow - through authoritarian rule, its not like ukrainians had much say in decision-making. (1/2)

There is a type of Tankie who keeps lecturing Ukrainians that they need to feel pride in their Soviet history. Or that Ukrainians, for example, also should be seen as taking part in the Winter war against Finland.
I am curious to ask Ukrainians what they think of this?

Whether we want it or not, it sadly is part of our history.
Whatever some people had thought about soviet legacy, kinetic arguments that fly into your city tend to change your mind (though not for everyone, sadly).
Unprovoked invasion is nothing to be proud of, of course.
