LOOK: A minor phreatic eruption at Taal Volcano Island's Main Crater at 9:14 AM to 9:23 AM today, 22 October 2024, was captured by the thermal camera of the Daang Kastila Observation Station (VTDK), VTBC IP Camera at Buco, and VTAG IP Camera at Agoncillo, Batangas. Locally called as "pusngat," this event produced a 1,500 meter-tall plume that drifted southeast. Alert Level 1 prevails over Taal Volcano.

How A Dam (or Weir) Changes The Topography Of A River.

When we borrow measurements from others it is important to understand that there are assumptions and uncertainties in their work just as in our own work. "How big" when it comes to eruptions is NOT a straightforward question.

All of this combined with the fact that a "height" is dynamic and depends on what part of the plume you are concerned with, means that there isn't "one" height of an eruption.
