My precious daughteru is finally home today. The people were kind enough to include a name plate for her and a paw print. Her ashes felt heavier than I thought it would be, almost as heavy as she was when she was still with me. I spent a long while having her urn on my lap and gently petting it like how I did with her countless times when she was alive. The weight felt a little comforting in a strange way. It’s a strange bittersweet day.
