So… essay incoming. The problem with this debate is that you’re 1000% right. Low skill expression heros should exist, BUT, so should high skill expression hero’s in the same context. The point of easy hero’s like you said is so low elo can still be successful. The problem with the devs continuously buffing them tho is that low elo players are getting to ranks that they should never be able to touch without learning the game properly. This creates MASSIVE team imbalances - thus wrecking competitive integrity (this is one of the main reasons half your teammates are so bad + the way team balance matchmaking works). The problem with high skill expression hero’s isn’t the hero’s being broken it’s because people are dicks and smurf on their main hero’s. A gold BP should almost never be as good as a gold SW or SG or CnD, etc. But since the majority of players are plat and under, that demographic of players has the unfortunate pleasure of constantly running into Smurf bp’s (or any other high skill hero) that quite literally make people mass complain about the hero constantly. My point is, easy hero’s being “better” than hard hero’s in most situations at any elo is not good for competitive integrity. It makes countering less of a skill/game sense, and it completely diminishes the amount of time someone puts into learning a high skill expression hero. Cause why even bother learning them if you can just point and click with witch and get value in most situations? That’s not to say someone shouldn’t be able to climb high elo with easy characters it just means at a certain point it should become harder/more game sense based than just clicking 2 keys. Again to reiterate the real problem, without smurfing bp isnt seen as this extremely oppressive hero, and without over buffing easy hero’s people dont just call everyone braindead.

@InfyPooh @KarkatSG Hero shooter is not by choosing your favourite hero and getting good at the game but playing heroes that require a lot of time to be worth it which simply isn't what most people want, and drives a lot of frustration towards intermediate players.

This. Bans need to stop being a little slap in the wrist for people throwing/being toxic af over the mic. Throwing aside, bigotry in coms should be an immediate 7 day ban for first offense as well.

@RauKnows Completely agree. These little 15 minute bans are not good for competitive intercity. There should also be a WAY harsher ban for people being openly racist/sexist/biggoted. It shouldn’t be a “they have been muted” slap on the wrist it should be a 7 day ban for first offense.

@lostywishx Disagree with the being good part. I think if you can hit diamond and stay in diamond while playing you’re quite good at the game. But game understanding wise I do agree! I think there’s a big difference between being good and actually knowing how the game works.
