@313_Footwurk Anti airs went hard in sf4. The damage was also not as massive in 4 either so landing a jump in didn’t always undo the damage you took from attempting a lot of them. And sometimes you could easy AAs into ultra and get slapped. 3rd strike AA had nuances to it because of air parry.

The secret is boredom.
30-45 minutes of this is more useful than 4 or 5 hours in ranked mode, but it is tedious work to build muscle memory for every interaction, most people would rather just guess and live with the outcome.

@Packz93 Helps that their entire player base is all connected on an island roughly close to the east coast US on top tier internet. And they all play each other all time and share secrets. The US player base is very divided and don’t interact willingly. Is EU the same?

@jchensor @XianMSG I know where you’re coming from. But it really should be eliminated. Not a factor online, or head to head setups. Then side to side one guy have a box the other doesn’t or is sitting behind someone else it’s a major uneeded extra mental stack. They’re no longer playing for $.25.

@jchensor @XianMSG on an arcade cabinet back in the day. But this isn’t about nostalgia. You don’t have to deal this online in WW tournaments why should you have to account for that crap in person. When match integrity should be important stuff like having to hide your controller shouldn’t happen.

@jchensor @XianMSG It shouldn’t be a thing. I hated when I used to have to play at NLBC or another local and play someone like Kail in sf4 have to hit an empty button because he was listening and would try and sweep punish on reaction. All fine back in the day when you were attached to someone 1/2

@drewlevin you can start growing again. Do I really need 50-100 games just to hit my skill level each time a reset happens? I would rather get to where I belong then challenge myself to grow. Instead of a system that tries to force me backwards if it “thinks” I’m moving too fast. 2/2

@drewlevin As long as match making isn’t forcing you to a 50% win rate. Each individual match should be balanced match making. And when I reach a point where I’m as skilled as everyone else progress slows down until I break my ceiling. And the faster you get to you ceiling the faster 1/2.
