Vale Bill Dempsey. 2 days short of his 84th birthday anyone of my vintage or older will have fond memories of Dempsey and Whinnen dominating @WAFL footy during the 70s and 80s.

I know the field isn't great, but it's a big deal if Hannah Green pulls off this Aussie Open win. She'd be the first Aussie to win it since Karrie Webb in 2014, giving the event a much needed boost and hopefully LPGA co-sanctioned status in the future.

Shattering news this morning for all in the football community. The great Dennis Cometti has passed away, after batting illness. Aged 76. The greatest caller our game has seen, a true icon. Dennis was not only brilliant, but thoughtful and generous toward all those lucky enough to be in his presence. Devastating, and thoughts with his family, and many friends, fans.
