🔴⚪ PSG are going to beat Arsenal in the finals because they beat them last seaon in the semi... Well, you might be right.
But tell me why Donnaruma was the man of the match when Arsenal had Trossard playing front with Merino? 😂 I mean with a defense line that doesn't include Gabirel.
Looking at the two teams this season, I just don't understand the hype around PSG.
PSG have conceded 55 goals. Arsenal have conceded 41 — in SEVEN more matches. You know why? There is no Donarumma to help them shut out goals.
PSG scored more, yes. But they also leaked more. A lot more. And in knockout football — the kind that ends your season in 90 minutes — goals conceded is the number that haunts you. So you won't tell me an Arsneal side that scored 116 goals so far will not score against a PSG side that has conceded 55 goals in 52 matches this season 😂
Arsenal's win percentage across 59 matches is higher than PSG's across 52. Ehn, think about that for a second. We played more games, faced more fatigue windows, more fixtures stacked on top of each other — and we STILL came out more dominant by percentage.
The difference this season is that we don't have Sterling to lead our attack even though his brother Madueke is around 😂
We have our squad complete now apart from Timber and Merino whom we hope both will be available and ready for the final. And we have Mikel Arteta and his backroom staff, The man who rewired the entire DNA of this football club.
Undermine him at your own risk.
PSG is a wonderful side, it would be naive of me not to acknowledge same — Luis Enrique has done a serious and awesome job there and I will not pretend otherwise. But when I look at these numbers, when I see the efficiency, the defensive solidity, the win rate, the sheer volume of games Arsenal have conquered — I do not see a team going to that final to make up the numbers.
I see a team going there to lift the trophy.
