A more elaborate explanation of what happened.
Last year around March 2025 ,I wrote about this young man , an uprising Socialite, quite popular in Ishieke campus and Abakaliki Ebonyi state -Elechi Ikechukwu popularly known as Shakiti Bobo who was arrested and has been in awaiting trial over the death of a female EBSU student who took her own life after battling repeated academic failures
What many don’t know is that this girl was the girlfriend of Shakiti Bobo’s former associate a young man who betrayed him, stole about ₦800,000 from him and disappeared to the thin air.
In his Desperate attempt to recover his stolen money, Shakiti Bobo had been searching for the runaway associate.
When he finally came across the girl, he questioned her about her boyfriend’s whereabouts. She initially denied knowing where he was but later admitted that he had fled to western part of Nigeria. In frustration, Shakiti Bobo took her phone and handed it over to the police at the Ishieke divisional station to assist in their investigation and possibly recover his money.
That same evening, tragedy struck. According to her hostel mates, the girl had already made a previous attempt on her life, which had been foiled. That night, she called her mother, expressing her frustration over repeated academic failures and ended the call with a heartbreaking farewell (The mother acknowledged this in her recorded audio message available to the public). Hours later, she was found lifeless having ingested a toxic substance.
Days after the girl’s death, Shakiti Bobo was arrested and accused of murder, simply because of the earlier altercation he had with her. In a bid to prove his innocence, his lawyer requested an autopsy, which confirmed the presence of poisonous substances in her system, supporting the claim that she took her own life ,yet his prosecutor are allegedly twisting the event.
Yet, despite this clear evidence, Shakiti Bobo remains behind bars, his freedom held at ransom and just today ,this young man with hope, clear ambition and vision was sentenced to death by hanging by the court .
It's been a very disheartening event considering the fact that a life was lost and quite a very painful experience incidence for the family involved
Shakiti Bobo deserve justice and not to be sentenced to death by hanging.

Elechi Ikechukwu sentenced to d3ath? No I can’t believe this. If you’ve been following me on my old account you’ll know about this case, but let me tell you what I know about the case. Elechi and Favour; Elechi happens to be into a business and he has boys working for him including Favour’s (the late lady). Favour’s man took Elechi’s goods and ran away to unknown location till date. Elechi and his boys confronted Favour to ask for her man but Favour had no response because she didn’t even know where he was. Elechi and his boys threatened Favour because she happens to be the closest person to her guy. I think he seized her phone too and took it to the police to report that he met the girl (because he had reported the case to the police earlier). ……….. About Favour and the lecturer; She has been Having issues, passing the said lecturer course, even when her mates graduated 2022, from Ebsu, Favour was still in school because of an extra year, and that how it has been going till she got tired and decided to end her life. When she ended her life, the particular lecturer’s name mouth was on her lips. When she passed on…… her parents brought her body to Ebonyi state Administration block so they can do what they want with it. (It even trended that year) So the thing is, Elechi confronted the girl in the morning and in the evening the girl took her life. Elechi later got arrested Today he got sentenced to d3ath by hanging -an authopsy showed the girl took a substance - the girls family Reported that the girl told them if anything happens to her they should hold the lecturer responsible, which led to her mums actions - Her friends said she went n bought a substance - A voice note of her crying that the lecturer is frustrating her effort and she’s going to leave this life is there So why Elechi?
