Beyond the learning difficulties as pointed out rightly, Oyibos have since passed the age of assessing kids by handwriting. Whilst they still assist kids with writing, the bigger emphasis is use of tech in all forms of learning or training. There are now many young adults in Western Nations whose handwriting is incredibly illegible but are by far more useful to society than those with beautiful handwriting.

This child is most likely suffering from a learning disability. S/he needs help, not mockery. You cannot simply say that s/he should take 5 marks. This is precisely why teachers need proper training and education. If you had received adequate training, you would understand that the child needs support and that such situation must be handled with empathy. If there is any reason to share his/her note here, it should be aimed solely at educating others or creating awareness. I’m quite disappointed, Auntie Teacher. You can do better.
