@37signals Looks to me like the text in #fizzy - "add a step" within each CARD is not SEARCHABLE text. Is that pilot error on my part?

These two screenshots embody what product management is all about. We're working on a new activity stream for Basecamp 5. Here we have two examples of how we can display pertinent information. In the left example, we show three topics with short preview text to complete the line. We have two answers to Basecamp Automatic Check-in Questions (one from Rosa and one from Brian), and then a separate Kickoff post from Brian. In the right example, we have the same three topics and the same three previews, but we also include any Boosts associated with those posts. Basecamp Boosts are little replies, up to 16 characters (text and emojis), you can leave on anything to say a little something without kicking off a notification. Boosts are almost always positive, and they lend a real feel-good texture to our daily work experience. They're digital pats on the back. Now... We could have left them out because they're "noisy" and "cluttered" and "messy", but I have to tell you, the pros vastly outweigh those "cons". Seeing the human messiness that are boosts in the activity stream paints your experience with sunlight. You feel good when you see them, you see co-workers celebrating one another, and you come away from the quick activity browse feeling warmer than you came in. That's a good design and a good product management decision. That's the kind of stuff that adds up. The stuff matters in practice, not on paper. Make warm decisions.
