hey 20+ postcss plugins were updated and there are new versions of normalize.css (csstools) & sanitize.css and they use `:where()` now and drop ie support and up next is stitches v1.2, cq polyfill v0.7, new parser, & new icon library + new ways to write custom elements in astro.

TIL that I actually learn a lot about myself when people ask me questions. Things I didn’t even know! ... not sure how that works.

Still *very early days*, but you can begin to play around with :has() by passing --enable-blink-features=CSSPseudoHas when launching Chrome Canary! Wow! Thanks to @eyeo for funding @igalia's work on this longest requested feature! Ongoing work by @byungwoo_bw, stay tuned!

@TerribleMia Nice article! We've been using at-supports rules for container/element queries both preprocessing and for use in the browser (as well as other purposes too!) - example of technique: #writing-extended-supports-rules-for-js-powered-at-rules" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/tomhodgins/deq… - in CSS: #L114" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/tomhodgins/deq… - live demo: tomhodgins.github.io/deqaf-demo/dis…

@jon_neal Yes, the way I describe it is I'm in the console of another 'window', like an iframe, or something that's not the global 'window' I expect. I believe there may be a drop down, or a way to select which console you're in…but I usually do what you do -> Quit and try again 🤣

Anyone else experiencing an issue in Safari 14.1 where the console stops logging anything? My workaround is to close the DevTools window and reopen it, but it’s been brutal.

A little hint to start 2021 with less bloat on the Web 🥳 If you transpile to ES5 (IE11) and you use rest and spread a lot, consider using these utilities instead, and no bloat will happen 👍 Hope you had a lovely NYE 👋

CW: pet loss This was sudden, but we're losing Artemis today. We've been tracking her weight loss with concern the past several months, and took her to the vet again yesterday due to her appetite finally collapsing. It's the standard old cat exit, kidney failure. 😿

Here's the “library” I use every day for working with DOM in browsers—it's the APIs and methods every browser has already built-in! 🤘👨‍🎤🎸🎶 gist.github.com/tomhodgins/d5c…
