@Inoshishi59 I'm glad you brought that up, because those are the things that can get lost if we don't have a space to collect them. That's why I've used the connecthub.io (I believe Kristy uses it too) #newcoachchat
@Coach4I This is a wonderful idea! Please keep sharing ideas! Due to the students in the programs I am working with don't have data/scores it's harder to measure the growth, as growth is made in smaller increments.

A4: I'm hoping that by using an implementation continuum where teachers can determine where they are starting and ending can show impact. Showing student before and after scores on goal, works. It also helps to ask, "what was most helpful with our work together?" #newcoachchat
Since I've been introduced to the "playbook" it has eased my stress of going into a coaching session. At least I know I have some resources readily available to guide my discussion. #newcoachchat
@Coach4I A3- I've used a two column sheet with Teacher on one side and Student on the other-- just observation notes. I'm looking for and open to any other forms out there for teachers to record observation and wonderings.

Q1: I think visuals that the district provided have been helpful. We have only focused on the mini cycle and pulled out some of the coaching interactions. We also have a video to explain our roles and coaching too. powtoon.com/ws/dcrqCBhK6EP…#newcoachchat
@Coach4I A2- I have some direction by administration, and I also ask the teachers what they see as next steps. My eyes and heart have opened up to our beautiful students in the Academy, reading and becoming engaged at calendar time. We've added elements of early literacy to calendar time.
@Coach4I One teacher is implementing JR Guided Reading lessons with level C students. It was challenging when I was doing the modeled lesson because it's not a typical student setting.
@alippservice@Coach4I This is a vulnerability, as I speak from recently coming out of a classroom but we have successfully done this for several years at Eagles. Setting the tone, expectations, and celebrating were all a part of what we do.

@Coach4I How do I help make peer observations a more comfortable experience for all? I will be going first, but it's nerve racking for some. #newcoachchat
@Coach4I A5- This feels kind of loaded as I'm still feeling my way, and my coaching role is unique to the programs I am working with. My question now is what if the students don't respond how we planned?

@Inoshishi59@Coach4I Yes Reiko. I was actually thinking we should plan a weekly coaching meeting to bounce ideas back and forth instead of a quick convo in the hallways. You have so that I can learn from!!!!
A2: My coaching partner and I were just planning on how to offer experiences that value what they would like to focus on. We are planning on offering a choice board for whole-group reading. Thanks Jess, great conversation! #newcoachchat
@Coach4I I like the choice board or a BINGO board. In a reading from this week, I liked that the "prize" was giving teachers more time, something they never get. So maybe I can be a sub for a day as a prize?

@Coach4I A2: I think feedback is so important. If after a cycle you are not debriefing, it is not giving the teacher an opportunity to be introduced to something they can make their own. #newcoachchat
