I think this is largely a separate argument and quite a childish response. This would be like emergency services turning up to a car crash and their first response being to repeatedly talk about how useful cars are for transportation. You might feel that they are not really paying attention to the issue and being rather defensive and dismissive.

This is a really scary call to start medicating more young people with so-called 'mood stabilisers,' a group of sedative drugs with a nasty adverse effect profile (some very toxic), that have never been shown to stabilise mood or anything else (the term that was made up to sell valproate as shown by @DrDavidHealy).

Years ago Linezolid was a "No TDM Vanco" but recently it was promoted to a TDM drug due to pk/pd and platelets/level relation. The reality is that the LoE for Linezolid TDM is weak , specially for efficacy

I think linezolid TDM may be useful in protracted durations like NTM/TB, osteo, or elderly/CKD; the goal being to continue the drug as safely as possible. But I’m not convinced TDM improves linezolid efficacy short term. I try to avoid labs I don’t know what to do with.
